Rules
Setup
  • # of Participants to be announced. (Prefered 8 to 16)
  • 2 Divisions
  • Each participant must pick their All-Star team of 23 players (12 Forwards, 8 Defencemen, 3 Goalies)
  • There will be two divisions, European Division (E) and North American Division (NA).
  • Placing in divisions will be based on where you stand alphabetically between all participants.
  • The top 4 of each division will advance to the Quarter Final.


    • Please submit your picks in this format:
    Country Player
    Example:
    Canada Wayne Gretzky

    No dashes or periods or short forms. Full names with proper capitalization please.

    Substitutions

  • In the Quarter Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Defencemen, Goalie)
  • The winners of the Quarter Final will advance to the Semi Final
  • In the Semi Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Defencemen, Goalie)
  • 3rd place will be given to the losing team with the most points in the Semi Final.
  • The winners of the Semi Final will advance to the World Cup Final
  • In the World Cup Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Defencemen, Goalie)
  • You must maintain your 12 Forwards, 8 Defencemen, 3 Goalies formation when substituting.


    • Player substitutions are to be submitted in this format:

  • You are to check for yourself if your subs were inputted correctly after you get a confirmation email from me that I received them.
  • If you notice mistakes after the games are over it will be considered to late and you will take blame for not double checking.
  • Everyone will start at 0 points when a new round begins.
  • I will email each of you before the next rounds begin.
  • If failure to respond before the next round begins you will continue on with the same players and receive a penalty of -2 points for the new round.
  • You’re free to pick whomever you want for the group round.
  • However, when choosing your new six players in the next rounds be sure not to copy your opponent. First come first serve. 
  • If you do not receive a reminder email from me that is no excuse because you should be following anyway.
  • Everything will be on a website for you to check.

    Scoring
    Players 
    - 1 pt for a goal 
    - 1 pt for an assist 
    Goalies 
    - 1 pt for a goal 
    - 1 pt for an assist
    - 1 pt for a tie
    - 2 pts for a win
    - 4 pts for a shutout tie
    - 5 pts for a shutout win 

    Tie Breaking Rules 
    1. Team with most points. 
    2. Team with most goals. 
    3. Team with most assists. 
    4. Team with most goalie wins. 
    5. Team with most goalie shutout wins. 
    6. Team with most goals by forwards. 
    7. Team with most goals by defencemen. 
    8. Team with most goals by goalie. 
    9. Team with most assists by forwards. 
    10. Team with most assists by defencemen. 
    11. Team with most assists by goalies. 

    12. Team with most points in previous round. 
    13. Team with most goals in previous round. 
    14. Team with most assists in previous round. 
    15. Team with most goalie wins in previous round. 
    16. Team with most goalie shutout wins in previous round. 
    17. Team with most goals by forwards in previous round.
    18. Team with most goals by defencemen in previous round. 
    19. Team with most goals by goalie in previous round. 
    20. Team with most assists by forwards in previous round. 
    21. Team with most assists by defencemen in previous round. 
    22. Team with most assists by goalies in previous round. 

    23. Team with least points allowed in previous round.

    31. Team with least assists allowed by forwards in previous round. 
    32. Team with least assists allowed by defencemen in previous round. 
    33. Team with least assists allowed by goalies in previous round. 

    31. If there is a tie in the first round there would be no previous round to break the tie. In this case we will flip a coin.
