Champions League Semi Final Matches

Visajaani Salonen (Manchester City) vs Cristobal Cahis (Colo Colo)
Note: Visajaani attempts to win his first DLSC Medal ever while Cristobal tries to win the Champions League to add to his UEFA Cup from last year. That would be a first not just for him but for anyone.

Silvio Taglieri (Juventus) vs Jussi Ahvenus (Tampere United)

UEFA Cup Semi Final Matches

Neil Tyrrell (Galatasaray) vs Martin Sing (Santos)
Note: The battle of England. Neil tries to improve on last season bronze medal in the UEFA Cup. Martin Sing finds himself in his best position ever after a miserable DLSC season.

Eric DoCouto (Arsenal) vs Jere Huttunen (Everton)
Note: An interesting battle between two newcomers who never made it this far last season.

Please have your 6 subs or less submitted before the Semi Final games start April 18th

09/06/05 5:00 PM - August Update
First off, thanks to Antero and Fabio for all their hard work in updating the DLSC for August! Could not do this without them. Pure soccer freaks.

For those of you who were with us in last year’s pool you will know that Antero never lost the lead in the entire DLSC 04-05 Season. 8 months straight in first place last season. He set numerous records and destroyed everyone in the field. I’m amazed to announce that after the first update in this new season Antero has finally lost his 1st place position. Congrats on a fantastic streak Antero. I’m sure you’ll get back to the top in no time.

Here are the Overall Standings after August:
http://www.sft79.com/sportspool/soccer/domesticleaguesoccerchampionship20052006/dlchampionshipdlcup.html

From here on in the top 3 in DLD2 get promoted to DLD1 and the bottom 3 of DLD1 get relegated to DLD2 after every month.

On the bottom half of the page you will see the newest tournament, Domestic League Cup. Only the top 16 of August enter this competition. Check out who you’re facing…

Good luck in September everyone. You have until tomorrow Sept 7th until the first substitution period closes.

08/01/05 12:00 AM - Welcome to DLSC 2005-2006
Here we go. The DLSC 2005-2006 has begun.

You will be receiving an email once a month with the updated standings and reminding you of the substitution periods.

The first 7 days of every new month you will get to sub 12 players.
If you decide that you can’t wait for the beginning of the new month to make your 12 substitutions and want to make them immediately you are allowed to make up to 6 transfers every month.
For every player you transfer you lose 2 subs at the beginning of the new month.
You have 12 subs total every new month which allows you to make 6 transfers anytime during a month. If you use up all 6 transfers in one month you will have 0 sub options in the following new month.

So you may make a Transfer whenever you want but the first Substitution Period is September 1st to 7th.

At the very beginning all participants will start in the Domestic League Division 1.
At the end of the first month the bottom half will be relegated to the Domestic League Division 2
From there the end of every month the bottom 3 participants of DLD1 move down to DLD2 and the top 3 of DLD2 move up to DLD1.

At the end of the Domestic League Championship season (March) a winner will be crowned and those who finish in Domestic League Division 1 compete for the Champions League title and those who finish in Domestic League Division 2 compete for the UEFA Cup title.

We have also added the Domestic League Cup this season. You advance in the Domestic League Cup tournament based on your point totals from each month. Obviously the more points the better.

So there’s 4 Tournaments to compete for this Season.
I imagine some of you will lose interest and drop off. There are always a few guys who do that. Let’s see who has the strength to stick with it and what tournament you will be the king of!

Good Luck!

Silvio F. Taglieri
