Europa League
-
Summary
This
tournament will run from April to May.
If
you’re in Domestic League Division 2 by April you will remain there.
The Europa
League champion from the previous season will automatically qualify and be able
to compete in the Champions League no matter where they finish in the standings
in the current season. This will prevent participants from purposely finishing
in the Europa League group and winning it every year. Instead if they win they
will have to face tough competitors in the Champions League the following
season.
The
Champions League champion from the previous season will automatically qualify
and be able to compete in the Champions League no matter where they finish in
the standings in the current season.
When the
Europa League tournament begins you will be choosing an entire new team of 12 men
(10 Players & 2 Goalkeepers.)
You must
specify which player of your 10 is a Captain. No GK's can be captain. Captain
receives double points.
Your 12
players (10 players & 2 Goalkeepers) must be players involved in the
upcoming Europa League Quarterfinals.

When the
Europa League begins all teams will start at 0 points again.
If there
are 8 participants there will be a Quarter Final elimination round (1 vs 8, 2
vs 7, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 5 from Domestic League Season Standings) where the 4 winners
move on, followed by Semi Final elimination and Final.
If there
are less or more than 8 participants there will be a group format for the
Quarter Finals of the Europa League because there are either not enough or to
many participants for a Quarter Final elimination round. The top 4 move on to
the Semi Final in an elimination round (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3) followed by Final.
If there
are 8 participants and only 7 or fewer submit their selections we will have a
group format instead.
