Rules & Setup
12 Teams
3 Groups
Each person must pick 10 players of any kind (Forward, Midfielder, and Defender) and 2 goalkeepers for a total of 12 players.
Everyone will be placed in a group (A, B, or C)
Placing will be based on where you stand alphabetically between all participants.
The top 2 of each group will advance to the Quarter Final along with the best 3rd place team and the second best 3rd place team.
In the Quarter Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Midfielder, Defender or Goalkeeper)
The winners of the Quarter Final will advance to the Semi Final
In the Semi Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Midfielder, Defender or Goalkeeper)
The losers of the Semi Final will face-off for 3rd place bragging rights.
In the 3rd place game you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Midfielder, Defender or Goalkeeper)
The winners of the Semi Final will advance to the Copa America Final
In the Copa America Final you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind (Forward, Midfielder, Defender or Goalkeeper)
Notes:
- You must maintain your 10 Forward, Midfielder, Defender and 2 Goalkeeper formation when substituting.
- Player substitutions are to be submitted in this format:

- You are to check for yourself if your subs were inputted correctly after you get a confirmation email from me that I received them.
If you notice mistakes after the games are over it will be considered to late and you will take blame for not double checking.
- Everyone will start at 0 points when a new round begins.
- I will email each of you before the next rounds begin.
- If failure to respond before the next round begins you will continue on with the same players and receive a penalty of -3 points for the new round.
- You’re free to pick whomever you want for the group round.
- However, when choosing your new six players in the next rounds be sure not to copy your opponent. First come first serve.
- If you do not receive a reminder email from me that is no excuse because you should be following anyway.
- Everything will be on a website for you to check.
The way scoring will work:

Forward, Midfielder, Defender
G - 1 pt for a goal
GWG - 1.5 pts for a game winning goal
No points for extra time goals as there is no extra time. They go straight to shootouts.

Goalkeeper
D - 1 pt for a draw
G - 2 pts for a goal
W - 3 pts for a win
SD - 4 pts for a shutout draw
SW - 5 pts for a shutout win

Notes:
Shootout goals, Goalkeeper shootout wins and Own goals don’t count for any extra points.
Tie Breakers:
1. Most points
2. Most goals
3. Most game winning goals
4. Most Golden goals
5. Most Goalkeeper goals
6. Most Goalkeeper wins
7. Most Goalkeeper shutout wins
8. Most (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) from previous round

Last Options:
9. I can go back and count assists for players.
10. Least amount of yellow\red cards.
11. If all else fails, traditional soccer style, I will flip a coin.
