Rules

Setup

Participants will be divided into 4 groups in the group round.

If there are uneven groups they will remain as it is luck of the draw.

Guidelines for Groups

Participants in groups are grouped together by the standings of the previous pool results.

Top 4 become top seeds, 5 to 8 get placed in 2nd position, 9 to 12 get placed in 3rd position, and 13 to 16 get placed in 4th position.

Newcomers get added at the bottom and are ordered by their request to be entered.

Newcomers are considered newcomers if they were not involved in the previous pool.

Squad Selection

Each participant must pick a squad of 23 (20 players and 3 goalkeepers)

Simply choose players who you believe will score the most.

Scoring

Players
G - 1 pt for a Goal

GWG - 1.5 pts for a Game Winning Goal

ETWG - 2 pts for an Extra Time Winning Goal

D - 1 pt for a Draw

G - 2 pts for a Goal

W - 3 pts for a Win

SD - 4 pts for a Shutout Draw

SW - 5 pts for a Shutout Win

If a participant’s GK does not start the game, or becomes injured anytime during the game, whatever result the GK’s team finishes with, with the backup GK in net, the participant will only earn half points. For example:

GK Chelsea - Peter Cech does not start the game or starts the game however he is forced to leave anytime during the game do to injury and his backup(s) GK Chelsea - Carlo Cudicini finishes the game the participant only earns backup goalie half points:

Shutout Win - Instead of 5 points participant earns 2.5 points.

Shutout Tie - Instead of 4 points participant earns 2 points.

Win - Instead of 3 points participant earns 1.5 points.

Tie - Instead of 1 point participant earns .5 points.

Backup GK half points will be defined by BK:

GK Belgium - GK Anderlecht - Daniel ZITKA - 2SW 1W 2D 2.5BK = 17.5

· Shootout goals, Goalkeeper shootout wins and Own goals don’t count for any extra points.

Substitutions

Top two participants in each group qualify for the Quarter Finals.

In the Quarter Finals you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

Winners in the Quarter Finals move onto the Semi Finals.

In the Semi Finals you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

Winners in the Semi Finals face off in the Finals and losers in the Semi Final face off in a Third Place Match.

In the Finals you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

You must maintain your 20 Players and 3 Goalkeepers formation when substituting.

Player substitutions are to be submitted in this format:

OUT Country – Firstname Lastname

IN Country – Firstname Lastname

You are to check for yourself if your subs were inputted correctly.

If you notice mistakes after the games are over it will be considered to late and you will take blame for not double checking.

Everyone will start at 0 points when a new round begins.

I will email each of you before the next rounds begin.

If failure to respond before the next round begins you will continue on with the same players and receive a penalty of -2 points for the new round.

If you do not receive a reminder email from me that is no excuse because you should be following anyway.

1. Most points

2. Most goals

3. Most Goalkeeper goals

4. Most Goalkeeper wins

5. Most Goalkeeper shutout wins

6. Most (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) from previous round

7. If all else fails, traditional soccer style, I will flip a coin
