Rules

Setup

Participants will be divided into 6 groups in the group round.

Top two participants in each group qualify for Knockout Stage.

If there are not enough participants, there will be a BYE option for the top participants.

Guidelines for Groups

Participants in groups are grouped together by the standings of the previous pool results.

Ie. Top 4 become top seeds, 5 to 8 get placed in 2nd position, 9 to 12 get placed in 3rd position and 13 to 16 get placed in 4th position.

Newcomers get added at the bottom and are ordered by their request to be entered.

Newcomers are considered newcomers if they were not involved in the previous pool.

Squad Selection

Each participant must pick a squad of 23 (20 players and 3 goalkeepers)

Simply choose players who you believe will score the most and goalkeepers who you believe will win the most.

Scoring
Forward, Midfielder, Defender

G - 1 pt for a Goal

GWG - 1.5 pts for a Game Winning Goal

ETWG - 2 pts for an Extra Time Winning Goal

PSO - 0.1 pts for any player position that score during a Penalty Shoot-Out

Goalkeeper

D - 1 pt for a Draw

G - 2 pts for a Goal

W - 3 pts for a Win (Also 3 pts for penalty shoot-out win)

CD - 4 pts for a Clean Sheet Draw

CW - 5 pts for a Clean Sheet Win (Also 5 pts for penalty shoot-out Clean Sheet win)

Backup Goalkeeper

Scenario: Participant’s GK does not start or finish a game due to injury, illness, scratch.

In this case whatever result the GK's team accomplishes with the alternate GK in net, the participant will only earn half points.

D = 0.5 pts for a Draw

G = 1 pt for a Goal

W = 1.5 pts for a Win (Also 1.5 pts for penalty shoot-out win)

CD = 2 pts for a Clean Sheet Draw

CW = 2.5 pts for a Clean Sheet Win (Also 2.5 pts for penalty shoot-out Clean Sheet win)

Penalty Kick goals by any player position during any period of the game (Within 90 Min, including injury time DO count.)

Goalkeeper penalty shoot-out wins or clean sheet wins which decide the winning team DO count.

Player penalty shoot-out goals by any player position during the penalty shoot-out DO NOT count.

Own Goals by any player position during any period of the game DO NOT count.

Injury time goals within the 90 minutes DO NOT count as a ETWG (Extra Time Winning Goal).

You can only pick 1 Goalkeeper from a single team.

Substitutions

Top two participants in each group qualify for the Knockout Stage.

In the Knockout Stage you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

Winners in the Knockout Stage move onto the Semi Finals.

In the Semi Finals you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

Winners in the Semi Finals move onto the Finals.

In the Finals you’re allowed to substitute 6 players of any kind.

Most points between the losers in the Semi Final takes 3^rd overall.

You must maintain your 20 Players and 3 Goalkeepers formation when substituting.

Player substitutions are to be submitted in this format:

OUT Country – Firstname Lastname

IN Country – Firstname Lastname

You are to check for yourself if your subs were inputted correctly after you get a confirmation email from me that I received them.

If you notice mistakes after the games are over it will be considered to late and you will take blame for not double checking.

Everyone will start at 0 points when a new round begins.

I will email each of you before the next rounds begin.

If failure to respond before the next round begins you will continue on with the same players.

If you do not receive a reminder email from me that is no excuse because you should be following anyway.

6. Most (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) from previous round

7. Standing in previous fantasy league

8. Standing in FSL Hall of Fame – Soccer

9. Standing in FSL Hall of Fame – Overall
