First off, congratulations John Paul! You’re the only Pittsburgh born, hardcore Pens fan I know. Last year you won the pool and Pittsburgh lost. This year you were out early but Pittsburgh won! Not bad! Haven’t seen you in years but I’m sure you’re as happy now as you were when we use to hang in 1991, 1992. Holy we’re old! It was great to see Lemieux lift the Cup again! Remember who won the Cup in 93 after the Pens in 92? Let’s hope it happens again! GO HABS GO!

Now onto the oldest FSL tournament and one of the hardest to win, NHL Playoffs…

STANLEY CUP FINALS

FABIO VS JEFF

Game 1: Fabio takes 3 point lead thanks to Kris Letang

Game 2: Fabio maintains 3 point lead…

Game 3: Fabio holds 2 point lead…

Game 4: Fabio holds 2 point lead…

Game 5: Fabio holds 2 point lead…

Game 6: Fabio holds 1 point lead as Mikael Samuelsson gets a point for Jeff…

Game 7: Jeff takes the lead for the first time thanks to Chris Kunitz and Jiri Hudler and holds it…Final score 63-61.

Congratulations to Jeff Sastaunik! Jeff has become only the second FSL participant to win 2 Stanley Cups! He lost in the finals last year and redeemed himself this year!

It was a great year of Playoff Hockey! Except for back to back loser Marian Hossa. Congrats to everyone and thanks for participating! Hope to see you all in next year’s NHL Season Pool!

This is Fabio’s first Stanley Cup Final. He has made it to the final 4 three times before and on his 4th try he has finally qualified for the Cup Finals.

This should be a fantastic battle. Good luck to both of you!!!
